The MOPAC - Lower Salford Historic Society 1877 Bank Barn

When Franconia township decided that the intersection that held 1877 Bank Barn owned by the MOPAC corporation needed to have improved sightlines due to increasing numbers of traffic concerns, MOPAC contacted, Mike Hart. He contracted to do the demolition of the Barn with the intent to carefully dismantle the heroic structure. MOPAC embraced the idea even though it involved a little more inconvenience. By the time it was scheduled to come down, The Lower Salford Historic Society had come forward to purchase the barn for restoration on its Bergey Mill Homestead in Lederach, PA. The Historical Society has some fund raising to do, but hopes to raise the barn beginning in the fall of this year. The Foundation is scheduled to perform the ressurection as well. Stay Tuned for more on this great partnership.
