Hey Kids!

Hi, my name is Austen and I'm 9 years old.

My Dad saves buildings that were built long ago.

He labels and tags all the pieces like the logs, rafters, doors and even the floor. Then he takes them apart piece by piece. He calls it dismantling.

Someday, the barns and houses he takes apart can be put back together again.

Some of them already have been.

Some people recycle things like cans and plastic. We recycle old buildings!

Sometimes my Dad takes me with him to the old buildings. He lets me play in the hay if there is any. One time I helped him take down a wall with a crow bar. That was fun. He must love what he does!
