The campers of the Souderton Area School District summer adventure camp had some fun with history during a camp outing hosted by The Foundation. Campers visited a job site where there was dismantling in progress or they visited a rescued log cabin in Souderton, PA. The children learned about the age old concept of "recycling" and saw how buildings were constructed over a hundred years ago.

Students from the Souderton Area School District summer camp put their hands-on history during their visit to a rescued c. 1840 log cabin in Souderton.

28th Annual Apple Butter Frolic

Despite the cold, rainy weather, The Foundation's Founder, Mike Hart, manned a demonstration booth at the 28th Annual Apple Butter Frolic at Indian Creek Haven Farm in Harleysville. Mike also gave a 1/2 hour presentation on historic preservation. Our thanks to all those who came out to say "Hello" to Mike!

Souderton Area Community Education Program - Historic Architecture Class
- Get Your Hands-On History - Through this "Hands-On-History" course, Mike taught participants how to date a home through classroom demonstration and on-site inspections of architectural components and hardware. The participation in this course was outstanding and we want to send a special "Thank You" to all of the students who graciously allowed the class to tour their homes - basement to attic! Due to the extremely positive response, Mike looks forward to offering this class again next year.
